Dr. Moore

Dr. Moore is a Georgia native who has lived a majority of his life in the metro Atlanta/North Georgia area.  He is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (2003) and completed recertification in 2013 and 2023 which is required every 10 years to maintain board certification in the specialty. 

He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia and then went on to dental school at the Medical College of Georgia (now Augusta University) where he received his DMD degree.  Upon completion of dental school, he completed a four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee at Memphis where he received extensive training in areas such as anesthesia, facial trauma, oral pathology, bone grafting, dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal. He maintains certification in basic life support (BLS) as well as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). 

Dr. Moore practiced in the metro-Atlanta area for three years after the completion of his residency prior to coming to North Georgia in 2004 when he opened his solo practice in Gainesville.  He is on staff at Northeast Georgia Medical Center and also has operating privileges at the Gainesville Surgery Center. 

He is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and maintains professional memberships in the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and Georgia Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
